Father Tim Sheedy was assigned to Our Lady of Lourdes by Bishop Franklin of the Davenport Diocese. Because he heard that Our Lady of Lourdes was a great parish, he was happy to come. Father Tim grew up in Ottumwa, Iowa. He went to St. Mary’s Grade School and Ottumwa Walsh Catholic High School. He then attended St. Ambrose University, Catholic University in Washington D.C., St Mary’s of the Lake University and UNIV in Chicago. Father Tim’s family includes his mother, four brothers, two sisters, twenty-one nieces and nephews, and seven great-nieces and great-nephews. His father and one brother has passed away. When he was in grade school, Father Tim was a paperboy. He also worked at a grocery store during high school. For a long time, he was a Roman Catholic principal, while he was a priest. He had decided to become a priest to serve God and help others, especially children, to know Jesus and to know how God loves everyone.
